Ministry
Team
Our staff has undergone many changes. Two new staff members have just joined St. Paul's this fall.
Barbara Fullerton
St. Paul's United Church family welcomes our new minister, Dr. Barbara Fullerton to the congregation and to Paris. Barbara has taken on the role of Intern Supply Minister for a one year period beginning in September. Barbara came to us from her previous position of Stewardship Development Program Minister in the national office of the United Church of Canada in Toronto. In this position, Barbara travelled the country for the past 11 years on behalf of the United Church, speaking and writing about stewardship strategies and best practices. Before that, Barbara worked at Hamilton Conference and Halton Presbytery and brings a wealth of experience in working with congregations.
Barbara is working toward ordination as a Minister in the United Church, and her time with us will provide her with one of the final pieces needed to reach that qualification. Because of her intern status, she will be under the guidance of an Educational Supervisor from Erie Presbytery and will be supported by a Lay Supervision Committee comprised of Mary Bohar, Stuart Budd. Elsie Kirkpatrick and Judy Norman.

Stephanie Burgoyne
Stephanie Burgoyne has just come to St. Paul’s in September as our new organist/choir director. The search committee for an organist/choir director is very excited to have Stephanie become a part of the life of St. Paul's, and we look forward to a few new things happening in regard to the choir and worship service.
Following an undergraduate degree in honors mathematics from the University
of New Brunswick, Stephanie continued her studies at the University of Western Ontario, where she completed a Ph. D. in math, ARCT Diploma in Piano, an Artist Diploma in music (organ performance) and the Associate Degree in Organ performance from the Royal Canadian College of Organists.
Stephanie has maintained an active career as a church musician, music teacher and collaborative pianist-accompanist in London, Saint John and Fredericton, New Brunswick. After completing a Bachelor of Education (University of New Brunswick), Stephanie has continued to serve as a Music, French and Mathematics teacher for schools and private lessons.
Upon her return to Ontario, Stephanie continued her teaching career and enjoyed working as Organist-Music director at St. Jude’s Anglican Church in Brantford and for a number of years part of the wonderful music team at St. Mark’s United Church in Dundas as Music and Choral Director.
After her resignation from St. Mark’s in Dundas, Stephanie has accepted the Organist Music Directorship at St. Paul’s United Church in Paris, Ontario. Stephanie is still keeping her relationship with St. Jude’s Church in Brantford, made possible with the assistance of William Vandertuin as Associate Organist.
